AN HONORABLE LAIRD…

Laird Connall MacInness was born to a clan that for centuries has been charged with the guarding of the sacred Druids. ‘Tis a duty he has always met with a willing heart, until the day his sister, a Druid priestess, goes missing, and the very Druids he has protected refuse to help him find the last remaining member of his family. Then a 300 year old prophecy places a Druid priestess in his hands for safekeeping. ‘Tis the chance at revenge that he’s been waiting for, but is he willing to pay the cost his revenge will demand–the loss of his mate and the future of Scotland?

A WILLING LASS…

Glenna MacNeil wants only to be free, to find the purpose of her life. When she is told to look for the dark laird that would free her, she eagerly goes with the powerful laird who fights her clan, not realizing she has set in motion events that will change the course of history.

Highland Mist

Was good. Always wonder why the characters always hold out against the saving behaviors that save everybody.

My kingdom for an editor

First, the good - I love the story and the world building. The plot is good, characters were well built and fleshed out.

Now, the bad - There were a lot of scenes that didn’t move the story along in any real way and A LOT of repetition. (I swear if I had to read *mine* in italics one. More. Time…) The male protagonist apparently doesn’t wear shirts in Spring in Scotland, which I know is a small thing, but it’s emblematic of how unrealistic the author’s writing can be. It’s cold in Scotland in springtime - it’s okay to acknowledge that! The grammatical and continuity errors pulled me out of the story every time and there were a LOT of errors.

Update: Sadly, the writing gets worse the farther you go in the series. I had to tap out after book 2 because I just couldn’t take it. It’s a shame because the overarching story is a good one.

Just readable

Clever plot. Readable. Basically junk. Lots of typos! Needs editing.
