A Dragon's Tale

I will admit that I am addicted to book bundles. They are my guiltless book binge. They are away to reread my favorites continuously without having to stop and find the next great read. A Dragon's Tale allowed me all the feels in one great book. I celebrated Christmas with the dragons. I learned of love on Valentine's Day. I finally understand Con's struggles. What appears on the surface can be far from the truth. Whisky and Wishes: was a dream come true for me. Book after book in the Dragon Kings Series has had me hoping that Rhi would be able to heal her broken heart. And now, even the kings knew that the King and Queen of the Dragon Kings needed some time alone. This was a wonderful fun eavesdropping on the two of them. Truths are revealed. Frustrations are discussed. Hopes are shared. Sadness is expressed. Plans are made and unmade and then remade. I can't wait to see what Rhi and Con decide. They think everything is fine, but is it? One of the kings doesn't join in the celebrations and they need to find out why. Thank goodness the author doesn't make the readers wait too long to find out what happens next. Heart of Gold: I no longer need to search for a Valentine card. Donna Grant has put into words what American Greetings and Hallmark have failed to do. Con poured his heart into the red journals for decades upon decades. His expressions of love and devotion for Rhi explode off the pages. Now that Rhi has found one of the journals she can't resist. Open the pages of Heart of Gold and discover just how much Con loves Rhi and how much he missed her. Rhi does one better and show him the same. Swoon. All the declarations of love. Heart of Gold will be stay close by for all of those times I need to be reminded that love exists. Of Fire and Flame: Grab some tissues. In fact, you might want to grab a box of tissues. Of Fire and Flame maybe the story of the beginning of Dark Kings series but it means so much more to me by releasing it now. I am indebted to the author's friend that asked her, encouraged her to write this story. In my opinion it needed to be told. Respect to the author for writing such an emotional look into the destruction of true love, the struggles of lost love, and the saving of a symbol of their love. The three points of view were brilliant. The reader has the opportunity to understand each character. The reader gets to see the true struggles of each the characters. The reader gets to feel the emotions of each character. I get why decisions were made by the characters. I may not be able to walk in their shoes but I can see through their eyes. I would rather do that than take a peak into the author's mind. I can't begin to imagine what goes on in there. I thank her for sharing her imagination, her stories and her time. Thanks to Donna Grant, I got to enjoy an amazing prequel. I was able empathize with the characters for the decisions they made.

WHISKY AND WISHES is a bit of a filler between series, setting up for a new adventure with the dragons and their mates. ••••••••• OF FIRE AND FLAME OF FIRE AND FLAME is a prequel novella in Donna Grant’s DARK KINGS paranormal/fantasy romance series focusing on the Dragon Kings and the women they love. OF FIRE AND FLAME is a short story that reveals some of the history between Constantine, King of the Dragon Kings, his mate and Light Fae Rhiannon, and Erith aka Death. Told from three third person perspectives (Con, Rhi and Death) OF FIRE AND FLAME is a quick read; a short story that focuses on the emotional heart break of Con and Rhi’s break up in the face of Con’s need to protect the dragons he rules. Whisky and Wishes Festive frolics among the inhabitants of Dreagan! I love this series and I'm on tenterhooks awaiting the offshoot series. Gimme more dragons I say! This is a short, sweet, sext read featuring Con and Rhi. Now mated but still reeling from the revelations of Erith. Can they make it through the festive season on their own, with no other dragon kings around for support or interrupt? Will they decide what to do about the twins. Rhi is determined that the Kings and their Mates all need something to celebrate, so Christmas is being done Rhi style! I'd kill for her to come decorate my house, the themes she chose were just so...perfect! There are little breadcrumbs to entice you into the next book and I just hoovered them all up and my mind is now reeling with what could happen next! Superb writing as usual and a great bridge between the climax of Con and Rhi and the introduction of the Twins! Heart of Gold A short & sweet visit with Rhi and Con as Valentine's Day approaches. We've all wondered what exactly Con had written in the Red Journals - well now we get to see inside one of them! When he "accidentally" leaves one of his journals where Rhi can find it, she learns just what he wrote about her during their millennia apart. Rhi really gets a chance to see the guilt, confusion, and grief that Con endured, all whilst she railed against him - although not without cause! Rhi decides to show Con that all that is now behind them. It shaped them but it will no longer have a hold on them. Enter the most romantic, and sexiest, Scavenger Hunt ever! Emotive, reflective and ultimately affirming the love these two characters have for each other. Of Fire and Flame Now there's a chance to fill in some of the blanks in Rhi, Con, and the twins backstory. This short, informative read shows you the action from three very different perspectives - Con,Rhi and Death (Erith). We get to see what made them make the decisions they did, take their courses of action and forever link them together. Erith's I found most useful and interesting as it dealt with the aftermath of the twins. This may be a short read but it's heavy with emotion and full of all the feels. You really should read the books in order to get the best out of the storyarc. (I have read the individual titles previously)
