Another Great Read by Author Donna Grant
If you have not yet read a book by Donna Grant, you are missing out. Donna weaves a story that captivates you from the first page, gives you twist and turns, makes you fall in love with her characters, and leaves you satisfied but still anticipating the next segment in her series. Don’t get me wrong, all her books can be read as stand alone, but she weaves her stories in a way that once you finish reading one story in her series, you can’t wait for the next one. Heart of Glass is no expection to this. Theo and Ferne are the characters in this book and you can’t help but fall in love with them and cheer them on as they confront the evils in the land of Skye. A true love story with just the right amount of twist to keep you engaged. A must read for not only Donna Grant fans but for all.
Fantastic Fantasy. Loved It!!
Five stars just isn't enough for Heart of Glass, book three in the Skye Druids. I want to give it all the stars in the galaxy. I know it sounds extreme but I can't remember a fantasy story that has hooked me so quickly, kept me so completely engaged, had me gripping the arms of my chair and peeking through my fingers to calm my emotions.
The story is so intense that I actually noted some of my feelings as I devoured the chapters. The tips of my nails were gone by the end of chapter seven. I was on the edge of my seat by chapter nine and it just kept getting better and better. My stomach was in knots by chapter 33. Nothing was going to stop me reading until I finished the story. A day later, I still can feel the heavy beat of my heart. Wowzers!!!
If you enjoy a book with lots of "I didn't see that coming" moments then Heart of Glass will leaving you giddy. If you devour books that keep your imagination active then Heart of Glass will be mind-blowing. If you are like me and like a good vs evil story then Heart of Glass will have you cheering and cringing in total bliss.
The evil hanging over the Isle of Skye is growing. People like Ferne are being drawn to the isle to aid Rhona and the Skye druids. Ferne doesn't even know why she needs to be there, she just knows she needs to be. OMG!!!! Wait until you see what she can do. MIND-BLOWING!! What was totally unexpected was who will aid her and what they can do. The story s riddled with many magical moments and battles.
I have said it before, and I will say it again. Donna Grant is the master of magical battles. When I think it can’t get any better than the last book she proves me wrong. I could not be happier. I think I read the battle scene outside of the Manor four times before moving on.
At the end of many of the chapters it was like I was reading a cliffhanger. A chapter would end with me not knowing what would happen next. I wanted to rush through the next chapter to find resolution. But then I would start that chapter and fall deeper and deeper into the story. I am so excited to read the next book so I can fall even deeper.
